Rodong Sinmun Calls on Economic Guidance Officials to Further Enhance Their Role

Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- Today when the people's enthusiasm for struggle is very high and the historic cause of comprehensive national development is successfully being realized across the country, the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea expects the leading state economic officials to boldly and innovatively conduct the economic work with a more intense sense of responsibility, says Rodong Sinmun in an editorial Wednesday. All the economic guidance officials should be deeply mindful of the responsibility they have assumed before the times and the revolution and fulfill their important mission to the last so as to prove their loyalty to the Party, the editorial says, and goes on: In order to further enhance the spirit of all-people advance towards attaining the goal of this year's struggle, it is important for the leading officials to conduct economic operations in a responsible manner more than ever before. All leading officials should give priority to creating conditions and environment favorable for the production and management activities of enterprises as befitting masters entirely responsible for the economic work of the country, and take effective measures to continuously increase the real income of the working people and execute them. It is necessary to correctly analyze all subjective and objective circumstances and predict and judge possible situations, find out the correct methodology for increasing production, improving quality and carrying out plans and organize and conduct prospective and essential work for the medium and long-term development plan in an initiative and creative way. All the leading economic officials should conduct their work boldly and innovatively with a more intense sense of responsibility and thus vigorously push ahead with the development of the national economy under the guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who is leading the Korean-style socialism to a new change and development.
