Rice Harvesting Completed Earlier than Last Year

In Pyoksong County, they have finished harvesting rice in the main ten days earlier than last year.

All the farms in the county conducted rice harvesting in high spirits from the beginning.

The county Party committee unfolded an intensive agitprop campaign to let the agricultural workers fulfill their mission as those in charge of the country’s granary.

The officials of the county demanded that farms mapped out detailed harvesting plans according to fields and plots and carried them out at any cost, and took foresighted measures for supplying accessories and fuel needed for the operation of farm machines.

The agricultural workers waged a campaign to harvest rice as soon as it ripened. Volunteers also joined the campaign and worked by the sweat of their brows.

At the Sowon Farm, the officials widely introduced good deeds and encouraged among the agricultural workers the movement to overtake and learn from others and swap experiences with one another.

In an effort to repay the love and benevolence of the Party with rich harvest, the agricultural workers helped one another forward to overfulfill their plans day after day, thereby concluding rice harvesting as of September 27.

The next day, the Namryong, Janghae, Janghyon and Sangrim farms finished rice harvesting one after another.

The other farms also made strenuous efforts.

As a result, rice harvesting was completed in the main ten days earlier than last year in the county.

Now, the county focuses efforts on conveying rice sheaves and thrashing.

By Increasing Thrashing Speed a Great Deal

Cholwon County increases the speed of thrashing by making the most of farm machines.

The county repaired and maintained the farm machines in a solid manner for the successful conclusion of this year’s farming.

True to the Party’s policy on raising the level of mechanization in farm work, the county manufactured tens of more thrashers of various kinds including mobile combined rice thrashers and maize thrashers on its own or in cooperation with the province.

Thanks to such full preparations, the county expedites harvesting while raising the working ratio of farm machines.

In particular, it pushes forward with rice harvesting and hastens thrashing at the same time.

The officials work with agricultural workers on bustling fields and solve the arising problems in time so as to ensure the smooth progress of the farm work.

The farms wage a full-scale campaign to convey rice sheaves and thrash grains in time on a quality basis. Farm machines like the mobile combined rice thrashers and tractors prove effective.

At the Paekrosan, Majang and Oehak farms, they allot work force in a rational way to suit the actual conditions on one hand and take efficient measures to increase the proportion of field thrashing on the other.

The agricultural workers of the township farm overfulfill their daily thrashing plans by making good use of the farm machines in the spirit with which they completed rice harvesting ahead of others.

The officials of the Puap and Mabang farms lead the masses by setting personal examples.

These farms finished rice harvesting and focus efforts and means on thrashing.

Tractor operators and other agricultural workers ensure full operation of farm machines and thus perform feats in conveying rice sheaves and thrashing.

As of now, thrashing progresses 1.3 times faster than last year in the county.

1 Ton More Paddy Rice Expected to Be Produced Per Hectare

An unusually satisfactory rice crop has been brought about at the Pangok Farm in Yomju County.

As against the past period, 100 more productive tillers have been produced per phyong and the 1000-grain weight has been increased, too.

Everyone says confidently that rice will be produced one ton more than planned per hectare, and with gratitude to our motherly Party.

The respected General Secretary put farming forward as the top priority of the Party and state, clarified the shortcut to development of agriculture at important meetings of the Party and on other occasions and took measures for supplying lots of farming materials on a priority basis. He also saw to it that all the fields and units actively rendered ideological, mental, material and technological help to the countryside.

Zealous to repay the love and benevolence of the Party, the officials and agricultural workers of the farm have strived for the increased grain production since the outset of the year.

They applied quality manure on to fields to improve their fertility and sowed seeds and transplanted rice seedlings in the best season.

They also built drainage structures at six places and took other watertight measures for protecting crops from natural damage.

When rice ears were heading and ripening, they formed sprayer teams at workteams to intensively spray efficient nutritive solutions, growth stimulators and the like.

At present, the officials and agricultural workers put spurs to concluding this year’s farming well.

The officials dispatched to workteams are solving arising problems in the van, regarding the rational allotment of workforce as the main link in the whole chain of finishing rice harvesting earlier than scheduled.

The agricultural workers make haste with their work in order to gather the crops without any waste.

Consequently, much more rice than planned is harvested every day.
