Here goes the story about their spirit of creation and valuable experience.

One day last January, Ri Chol, manager of the factory, read an article on a magazine and felt uneasy.

It was about a unit which had devised a ventilator whose quality was as good as that of the factory’s product.

Ri fell deep into thought.

The unit, which had made that ventilator, wasn’t specialized in ventilator production.

In the light of this fact, they were only bent on maintaining the status quo, just content with already-made achievements.

This was the reflection of their lack of patriotic enthusiasm for contributing to the economic development of the country, he thought.

Reproaching himself like this, he hardened his will to establish a process of dynamic balancing test, which he had long thought of.

His decision won positive response of the employees.

The research group of the State Academy of Sciences actively helped them.

Members of the research group like Ri Phyong Gyu and Pae Myong Chol spent days of intensive research for designing in cooperation with the technicians of the factory.

With untiring passion, they solved knotty problems one by one.

They processed the accessories as soon as they were designed.

However, theory and practice do not always go hand in hand.

The equipment which seemed perfect theoretically turned out to have several irrationalities during its trial operation.

They undid the test board and then redid it again and again and spent many sleepless nights examining the design.

In those days, some said that it was impossible a task to carry out on their own and some gave up halfway. And some others suggested putting off the equipment manufacture a little bit.

However, it was the unanimous thought of the researchers of the academy and technicians of the factory that technical innovation for improving the product quality couldn’t be stopped even for a moment.

Many days and nights of research passed.

The original ideas of the experienced technicians and workers of the factory offset some shortcomings that occurred in the researchers’ design.

Their painstaking efforts paid off.

Thanks to their 24-7 endeavors, the trial operation of the dynamic balancing test process was done successfully.

Then, one day, the manager, who was considering a new-type ventilator development project, found out that the newly-established process was insufficient in some measure to test the dynamic balancing of ventilators of different kinds and shapes. It was definitely needed to remake some spare parts of the test board.

A technical innovation team was organized without delay and a campaign was unfolded to make and introduce suitable jigs.

The team members defined the performance of the ventilator which was to be produced and, on that basis, pushed ahead with the jig manufacture and spare-parts remaking at the same time.

The day when the dynamic balancing test board was remade, every one of the factory rejoiced.

It was a really precious achievement for them to have laid a foundation for decisively raising the ventilator quality.

What’s more valuable is that the officials, technicians and employees acquired firmer confidence and courage that they can produce valuable creations conducive to the country’s development when they make redoubled efforts with patriotic enthusiasm and progressive fighting spirit.

The ongoing grand struggle for dynamically opening up the period of overall development of socialist construction demands that every sector and unit constantly set fresh goals and put them into practice.
