Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- The 28th seminar of world political parties on building a new society was held in Mexico from September 26 to 28.
Present there were leaders of various political parties and members of the parliament of Mexico, representatives of more than 100 political parties and organizations from over 50 countries including the DPRK, China, Vietnam, Laos, Nicaragua, Brazil and Venezuela.
Congratulatory speeches were made at the seminar to be followed by speeches.
Speakers referred to the ways for the Latin American countries to eliminate social inequality and free themselves from the economic yoke of imperialism and capitalism.
They called for strengthening the unity and solidarity among the anti-imperialist independent forces and, in particular, cooperation with the countries in the Asia-Pacific region in keeping with the present situation in which the world geopolitical center is moving to the Asia-Pacific region.
They called upon all the revolutionary and progressive political parties, organizations and anti-imperialist independent forces of the world to further intensify their unity and cooperation in the struggle against the imperialist powers to gain complete independence and sovereignty and promote the well-being of the working masses and progress of mankind.
A solidarity resolution supporting the just struggle of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people was adopted at the seminar. -0-
