President of State Affairs Kim Jong Un receives greetings from Chinese President   Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China, on October 6.

The message said:

I extend warm congratulations on behalf of the CPC and the Chinese government and people and on my own behalf to you and to the WPK and the DPRK government and people on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the PRC and the DPRK.

As the two countries established their official diplomatic relations 75 years ago, a new historic chapter was opened in the relations between the two countries, and this is of epoch-making and important significance.

For 75 years, the two countries have advanced hand in hand on the road of promoting socialist construction while supporting and strengthening exchange and cooperation with each other in the struggle to consolidate the people's power and defend the national sovereignty, and have closely cooperated in the work to promote the regional peace and stability and safeguard the international equity and justice.

The traditional China-DPRK friendship has stood the changes of the times and the trials of ever-changing international situation and become a precious asset common to the two countries and the two peoples.

I attach great importance to the development of the China-DPRK relations and have jointly led and promoted the in-depth development of the China-DPRK relations while maintaining close communications with you, Comrade General Secretary, through several meetings and personal letters and messages in recent years.

In the new era and under the new situation, the Chinese side is ready to jointly promote, together with the DPRK side, the stable and further advance of the socialist cause in the two countries and provide the two peoples with better welfare by continuing to write a new chapter of the traditional China-DPRK friendship through strengthened strategic communications and coordination and deepened friendly exchange and cooperation with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an occasion.

I hope that Comrade General Secretary would enjoy good health and everything would go well.
