National Nano Sci-tech Exhibition to Be Held

The 2024 National Nano Sci-tech Exhibition is to be held from November 11 to 18 under the sponsorship of the Korea Nano Technology Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

The exhibition on the theme of "Industrial promotion based on Nano technology" will exhibit valuable research development successes and introduction successes achieved by Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and other units.

Teachers, researchers, technicians, post-graduates and field officials from various units and sectors are to attend the exhibition. During the exhibition, the sci-tech presentation, workshop and exchange of products and technology will also be conducted.

Advanced Equipment Management System Developed

The Intelligence Development Institute of Kim Il Sung University has developed a new equipment management system "Intelligent Diagnosis".

This system observes the states of various mechanical equipment in real time and predicts the trouble in advance to decide the repair time and supports the diagnosis of equipment by analyzing the observation data, thus contributing to prolonging the life.

This system is supported by the Internet of things and intellectual production system.

Choe Kyong Il, deputy chief of the institute, and scientists including Pak Un Song set the high target of developing equipment management system in conformity with the worldwide trend and reality in our country and have conducted the vigorous research work and, at last, have developed the system.

The "Intellectual Diagnosis" version 2.4 was selected as one of 10 Best IT Products in 2024.

Contribution to Putting Nutrition Care of Children on Scientific Basis

Researchers of the Institute of Nutrition Care of Children under the Academy of Medical Science have recently developed a new system of supervising and assessing the growth and nutrition of children across the country.

The system is essential in measuring the various indices of children, estimating the growth and nutrition intake state and taking appropriate measures without spending labor and expenses for field survey.

A guarantee for putting nutrition care of children on more scientific basis was provided thanks to this system.

This system was registered as an excellent IT product at the 2023 National Exhibition of IT Successes.

Preparation for Unique National Art Contests Promoted

The Ministry of Culture will organize the contest of Korean tunes and the contest of dance works across the country true to the Party’s idea of developing national music and national dance.

The national contest of Korean tunes is to be held in a unique way. The video on programs of local art troupes will be made and the contest of central art troupes will be held in the capital city. Finally the videos on the selected programs will be appreciated.

The individual events and performances with Janggu in unison of four or more persons will be held.

The contest will fully display the superiority of multifarious Korean tunes.

The central and local art troupes will present their programs to the national contest of dance works.

The Ministry of Culture makes watertight preparation for successfully conducting the contests which will be an important occasion for developing the folk music and art.
