This year, the coal-industry sector has rebuilt hundreds of kilometres of transport lines, repaired and maintained well over a hundred electric cars and produced thousands of coal wagons.
The Ministry of Coal Industry set it as a major task for this year to enhance transport capacity and concentrated efforts on it.
The ministry pushed the installation and remodelling of conveyor belts in different units, while repairing transport lines and increasing the number of coal wagons and electric cars in operations. In close cooperation with relevant units, they took a measure to supply equipment and materials and saw to it that coal-mining complexes and coal mines improved their coal transport capacity to the maximum across the country.
Accordingly, the Ryongdung Coal Mine increased transport capacity by 1.2 times by completing the conveyor belt project in the main. The Tukjang Youth Coal Mine is carrying on the installation of a new conveyor belt on a full scale and the February 8 Jiktong, Chonsong and Inpho youth coal mines are putting spurs to the project of conveyor belts by introducing rational work methods.
Meanwhile, the Sunchon and Pukchang area youth coal-mining complexes and other units are boosting coal production while upgrading transport lines and applying valuable technical plans for increasing the actual working ratio of electric cars and coal wagons.
Coal-mining machine factories across the country are tapping latent reserves to the full as they work hard to produce different kinds of spare parts needed for the normal operation of coal wagons and conveyor belts.
