Top ten national enterprises have recently been chosen for 2023.

Those units selected as top ten enterprises overfulfilled national economic plans last year, established production foundations by themselves and put per-employee output value, total industrial output value and average labour remuneration on a level high.

The Ryongsong Machine Complex manufactured large compressors in time by relying on its technology by breaking from the rut in the course of carrying out the production tasks of large compressors, and the Sunchon Cement Complex fulfilled cement production assignments at 100.5 percent last year as it waged a vigorous struggle for expanding production capacities and conducted a technical innovation drive.

The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex produced and supplied fertilizers needed for the agricultural sector before the farming season last year and exceeded the peak year level and donated tens of thousands of tons of nitrogen fertilizer to the agricultural sector, while the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex produced much more nitrogen fertilizer than planned by briskly expanding production capabilities and making technical innovations and presented thousands of tons of urea fertilizer to the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea in February last year.

The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, regarding the digitization and informatization of production and management activities as the key link of business administration, realized the management of labour, equipment, materials and finance based on the integrated management information system and raised the utilization rate of equipment, thus successfully supplying electric power to different economic sectors.

The Sunchon Thermal Power Station lowered coal consumption by installing hundreds of new turbine blades and introducing over 110 technical innovation plans into production last year, and overfulfilled annual power production plans while saving much coal and heavy oil.

The Tanchon Smeltery which was honoured with the title of top enterprise in 2023 after 2022 actively solved sci-tech problems arising in production to normalize production on a high level, thereby satisfactorily supplying raw and other materials needed for relevant units.

The Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory set an example in the management of quality by pushing ahead with the development of new products with competitive edge in the world and improvement of quality, and the Pyongyang Dental Hygiene Supplies Factory carried out its production assignments by effectively conducting business activities.

The Rason Hyesong General Development Company trained many IT talents over the past four years to develop a world-level communications relay system to make a tangible contribution to the development of the country’s IT industry and overfulfilled economic plans every year.
