South Hamyong Province has newly built goat farms in cities and counties as a part of the work for consistently implementing the childcare policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
There are goat sheds, ground for producing milk powder, malting floors, fermented feed production grounds, etc.
Under the guidance of the provincial Party committee, officials have regarded the building of goat farms as an important political task and intensified organizational and political work for its implementation.
On the basis of taking into detailed account the conditions of grassland, transport and the number of children in the region and the amount of demand for dairy products in accordance with them, the province made sure that the cities and counties have paid deep attention to determining the site and size of the goat farms and giving precedence to the supply of materials before the construction.
Senior officials of the cities and counties have pushed ahead with the construction of goat farms by taking strong measures for supplying manpower, equipment and others and conducting the building operation and command with vigour.
Working people in the province devoted themselves to completing the construction of the goat farms as early as possible with a firm determination to uphold the Party’s policy of childcare with practical successes.
The officials and working people in Tanchon City and Kowon County set the site for the construction of the farm in the places rich in grass resources and favorable ones for transporting conditions and hastened the construction and manufacture of the equipment, thus registering high results in the construction.
Such similar successes have been made in other regions including Pukchong and Riwon counties.
Meanwhile, various ministries and national agencies contributed to the construction of the farms by supplying materials and equipment to the construction.
The cities and counties of the province are now laying a solid foundation for normalizing the production of dairy products on a high level by constantly increasing the number of goats and putting the breeding goats on a sci-tech basis.
