Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected again sites of reconstruction of flood-hit areas in North Phyongan Province on November 4.

He was accompanied by Jo Yong Won and Ri Il Hwan, secretaries of the C.C., WPK, and cadres concerned of the C.C., WPK.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was greeted by Ri Hi Yong, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK, and commanding officers of the Korean People's Army units and the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade involved in the reconstruction.

Thanks to the dynamic patriotic efforts of all the builders who have risen up as one in hearty response to the militant call of the WPK Central Committee to turn the flood-hit areas into ideal "modern rural city" by building the dwelling houses as civilized and modern as those in city, the flood-hit farm villages on an islet of the northwestern part of the country that suffered disasters are showing their new appearances every day while fully demonstrating the beautiful reality of superior socialist system of our own style and instilling confidence and optimism about the future.

Going round the recovery areas in Ojok-ri of Uiju County and in Hadan-ri of Sinuiju City, he learned in detail about the reconstruction.

He said that he always had a heavy heart due to the vivid memory of looking at the flooded villages in an emergency rescue of the local people just some months ago, adding that he is really pleased to look at the fine banks and see that dwellings of peculiar urban styles are being built in the safe zone in a competitive way. He noted with pleasure that a worthwhile and proper decision was made and that a great change was brought about with our own efforts.

He highly praised the brilliant feats and innovations of the builders, expressing great satisfaction over the fact that the army, which has successfully fulfilled its sacred mission as the army of the Party and the people, and the young people, who have always been faithful to the honorable reputation as reliable reserves and advancing group of the Party, are making remarkable reconstruction successes with their unique courage, true to the call of the country and the revolution, in the site for the reconstruction of the flood-hit areas, the forefront of defending the people.

We have come to believe in our strength once again through the on-going huge rehabilitation campaign and I regard it as mental wealth more important than any physical result, he said, adding: We are deeply experiencing our own tremendous strength once again and have become squarely convinced that the single-minded unity of our society, in which all people help and lead each other forward, is getting stronger in the spirit of self-development and self-determination and amid a sacred patriotic struggle.

Saying we should take pride in the invincible spirit and might exclusive to our great state, never to be found in other countries, and ceaselessly create our future prouder and more worthwhile through a great demonstration of that spirit and might, he called for bringing about good fruition as planned by continuously waging an all-out honourable and patriotic campaign for the people who suffered misfortune and for healing the wounds of the country that suffered a natural disaster.

Noting that a good beginning is important but a good ending is more important and the outcome of rehabilitation will be evaluated by the results of the remaining projects, he greatly encouraged the builders, calling on them to bring about greater innovations in the remaining days by carrying on the intensive struggle with the sense of responsibility, efforts and courage, ten times and one hundred times stronger than usual.

Noting that it is necessary to reinforce the construction forces with more skilled workers and take some state measures to successfully finish the projects, he made a determination to complete the rehabilitation campaign at the highest level before the December Party plenary meeting and gave detailed instructions to successfully accelerate the reconstruction.

Time has slipped away since young people and service personnel left for the reconstruction site in hot summer and new season has arrived, but a modern rural city has already taken shape in the disaster-stricken area once covered with mud only, and this indicates the change made by our young people through their creative struggle is faster than the change of season, he said, praising our young people and service personnel once again for having done a great deal of work to be honourable before the country and the times. He expressed conviction that an eye-opening new world would soon emerge in the area thanks to the indomitable struggle of the dependable builders who dedicate their patriotic sweat to every structure.

The builders, who have all turned out once again to attain the sacred goal of their struggle with redoubled ambitious pluck and fighting spirit that they can lift even the earth under the trust of Kim Jong Un , were filled with a firm determination to create a new legendary tale of world-startling construction miracles in the flood-hit areas. -0-
