Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- DPRK player Son Su Rim came first at the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships 2024.
The championships brought together more than 590 ace men and women players from over 70 countries and regions.
Son Su Rim beat all the rivals in the women's 60kg category event and advanced into the finals. In the finals, she defeated her Chinese rival 3:2 and won the trophy and gold medal.
Pak Sin A of the DPRK placed second in the women's 63kg category.
Meanwhile, DPRK players Choe Wi Hyon and Ri Phyong Gwang bagged silver medals in the men's 10 meter synchronized platform event, Kim Kyong Sim and Ri Hyang Sim in the women's 10 meter synchronized platform event and Ri Hyang Sim and Phyo So Yon in the women's 3 meter synchronized springboard event at the 11th Asian Diving Championships held in China.
Choe Wi Hyon and Ri Hyang Sim placed third in the men's individual 10 meter platform event and the women's individual 10 meter platform event respectively. -0-
