Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- Members of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade, service personnel and other builders, who are writing a new history of great changes and creating new civilization in the flood-hit areas of the northwestern part of the DPRK, received gifts associated with the warm love of the tender-hearted father.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the builders, who are dedicating themselves to the reconstruction of the flood-hit areas, are vanguard fighters who are taking the lead in the honorable struggle for the great people our Party holds in high esteem as Heaven. Always paying deep attention to their health and life, he visited the sites of reconstruction of flood-hit areas and took important measures to ensure the builders' living conditions. And he sent the builders even seasonal necessities.

On Nov. 4 and 5, there took place ceremonies for conveying the gifts sent by Kim Jong Un to the builders involved in the reconstruction of flood-hit areas in North Phyongan Province.

Present there were Secretaries of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Jo Yong Won, Ri Il Hwan and Pak Thae Song, officials of the Party and power organs in North Phyongan Province, leading officials of the reconstruction headquarters and builders.

Speeches were made at the ceremonies.

Noting that Kim Jong Un sent gifts to the builders who are performing great feats with indomitable courage and fighting spirit, responding to the call of the Party with ardent patriotic enthusiasm, the speakers said that despite his day-and-night work to deal with a great many important Party and state affairs, the respected General Secretary is always thinking of those who are building the places of happiness for the people of the flood-hit areas.

They also noted that the sites of reconstruction of flood-hit areas in Sinuiju City and Uiju County are major thrust areas of key importance in successfully completing the campaign for the reconstruction of flood-hit areas, and that a very important issue - whether to successfully complete this year's struggle for valiantly ushering in a new era of national rejuvenation or not - hinges on the efforts of the builders. The speakers called for successfully building new houses, new villages and a durable embankment on the flood-stricken land in order to demonstrate once again to the whole world the vitality and advantages of socialism that is further consolidated in adversity.

The gifts were handed over amid the enthusiastic applause by the participants.

Then vowing speeches were made.

The speakers expressed their great excitement of having received gifts associated with the warm affection of the tender-hearted father taking care of all his people with his warm love.

They said that the noble image of Kim Jong Un , who had mapped out a gigantic reconstruction plan to relieve the people in the afflicted areas of their inconveniences as early as possible and personally attended the ceremony of seeing off the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade and showed deep trust in them, is deeply touching all the people.

The speakers vowed to build all the structures into model entities representing the Party's policy for regional development and socialist civilization in the new era, bearing deep in mind the paternal loving care and affection shown by Kim Jong Un .

The meetings fully displayed the unshakable will of all the builders who are determined to defend the prestige of the Party Central Committee and fully display the advantages of Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses by performing new miracles in construction overpowering natural disaster at any cost with their patriotic enthusiasm and through a courageous struggle. -0-
