The intelligence development institute of Kim Il Sung University has developed Jinungjindan (intelligent diagnosis), a machine monitoring and fault diagnosis system.
The system provides a real-time monitoring of various machines and equipment and predicts possible faults in advance so that the time of maintenance can be determined. In addition, it supports fault diagnosis by monitoring data analysis and ensures timely maintenance of equipment, thus contributing to extending their serviceable life.
Failure of machines and equipment do not occur periodically. This required a predictive maintenance system, a superior equipment management system, and it could be realized with the advent of IoT and intelligent production system.
The institute carried out relevant research with a goal to develop equipment management system suited to the global trend and the actual conditions of the country.
In the course of this, it solved various scientific and technological problems arising in the development of a system capable of monitoring machines and equipment in real time through simultaneous measurement of vibration in different directions, noise and temperature and estimating and predicting their conditions and, on the basis of it, determining the time of maintenance and diagnosing the cause of equipment failure.
It has also steadily updated the performance of the system to meet the practical requirements.
The machine monitoring and fault diagnosis system Jinungjindan 2.4 was selected as one of the top ten IT products in 2024.
