New sectoral structures are being established for putting the chemical industry on a Juche basis.
Efforts are concentrated on the project for establishing the C1 chemical industry which is of great significance in turning the country’s chemical industry into a Juche-oriented one relying on domestic raw materials.
Scientists, technicians and builders of different units, who are involved in the construction of a methanol production line, have made redoubled efforts to guarantee all its processes scientifically and technologically and improve the quality of construction.
The Hungnam Fertilizer Complex launched into the construction of a slow effective granular urea fertilizer production line to increase the production of slow effective and compound fertilizers. It is also stepping up the construction of a melamine resin production base on a full scale.
The Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill has given spurs to perfecting a reed-based paper production line. While directing efforts to finishing the installation of a high-capacity paper-making machine as soon as possible, it promotes technical innovation to reduce production costs by realizing the domestic production of various kinds of auxiliary chemical materials.
The February 8 Vinalon Complex, Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, Ponghwa Chemical Factory and other units started the building of new chemical goods production bases and are now directing great efforts to completing them successfully.
The February 8 Vinalon Complex is accelerating a construction project for establishing a salt production line based on an industrial method.
The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex is concentrating on establishing a line to produce more efficient functional greenhouse vinyl sheet so as to hasten its trial operation.
The construction of new chemical goods production bases is progressing apace in other units of the chemical industry.
