North Hwanghae Province is building a comprehensive and modern agricultural science research base conducive to the agricultural development of the province.
Under the guidance of the provincial committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the province attached primary importance to the construction of the research base in finishing the work of turning the agricultural research units into a cutting-edge one and pushed ahead with the organizational and political work to finish the project at an early date. In particular, after setting a big goal to finish the project within this year, it organized the commanding forces with high-skilled officials and concentrated manpower and means on the project.
When the officers and members of the shock brigade taking part in the project positively introduced advanced construction methods to finish the framework work for the projects in good quality and buckled down to the interior and exterior construction, builders of the provincial and city construction brigade made collective innovations in the construction including pilot production site, advancing vigorously towards the day of completion.
As a result, the modern agricultural science research base took its looks in less than one year.
The newly-built five-storied building for the scientific research has an e-library, reading room, sci-tech seminar room and others.
In the research base, there are a breeding greenhouse and pilot production site equipped with conditions for experimental cultivation of newly-bred high-yielding strains of seeds and test production of newly-developed agricultural and technical products.
Besides, the base has also sports and cultural and welfare facilities for scientists and researchers.
The construction of a modern agricultural science research base has made it possible to develop agricultural production of the province in a sustainable way by further enhancing the enthusiasm for scientific farming.
