The Songga Senior Middle School in Kangdong County of Pyongyang has been renovated as a model school.
Officials and working people in Pyongyang wonderfully built the school building, gymnasium, teachers' hostel and so on in a little over half a year.
The inaugural ceremony was held on the spot on the 20th.
Present there were Kim Su Gil, Chief Secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Choe Hui Thae, Chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People's Committee, officials who contributed to the construction, builders, teaching staff, students and their parents.
An inaugural address was made by the Chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People's Committee.
He said the wonderfully renovated Songga Senior Middle School is a valuable crystallization of the great idea of Kim Jong Un on attaching importance to education, who regards the educational work as the most important of the affairs of the Party and state and continuously writes the history of love for the rising generations.
Then speeches were made.
After the inaugural ceremony, the participants looked round different places of the school and watched the students' sports games and art performance.
