Many modern rural houses have been built in different parts of the DPRK, vibrant with the implementation of the programme for the rural revolution in the new era. Such realities are outcome of the grand ambition and noble devotion of the Workers’ Party of Korea to make our countryside a rich and cultured ideal village equipped with modern technology and civilization and thus achieve the rapid development of the socialist countryside.

Over the past three years, more than 1 500 fairyland villages characterized by modern aesthetic tastes, Korean-style socialism and specific regional features have appeared in different parts of the country, proving the rapid development of the countryside which is making a substantial contribution to the improvement of the peasants’ living standards.

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un has led the drive for rural housing construction in all parts of the country with his extraordinary wisdom and stubborn practical ability.

Under the leadership of the Party, a solid foundation was laid for pushing forward the construction in a prospective way, looking forward to the eternal future of the socialist rural development.

The central and regional headquarters for the rural construction were formed all at once and the relevant sections were composed of competent officials. As a result, the rural construction has been conducted in a shipshape manner.

The architectural design and construction forces were built up in every region.

The material and technical foundations of the building-materials industrial sector, an arsenal for regional construction, have been further consolidated.

Measures were taken in time to supply materials necessary for the rural housing construction.

Officials and builders of provinces, cities and counties have pushed ahead with the work to create models in the rural housing construction and generalize them.

The scientific and technological strength has been steadily augmented to bring about a significant improvement in quality.

Amid the great eruption of patriotic enthusiasm in the new era of rural development, many officials and working people conducted vigorous agitation activities at construction sites and rendered material and moral assistance to them.

Consequently, rural houses with a high level of modernity, culture and diversity have appeared one after another for the last three years since the adoption of the programme for the rural revolution in the new era. They are now giving a pleasure to the agricultural workers and many modern houses are nearing completion.

Steadfast is the determination of the Party Central Committee to powerfully push ahead with the grand regional development policy for bringing about the regional prosperity and, at the same time, to make the agricultural workers and other regional people become the masters of communist society earlier than others by thoroughly implementing the programme for the rural revolution in the new era.
