The "DPRK's National Dog Phungsan Show--2024" recently took place at the Central Zoo.
Attending it were scientists and technicians in the fields of zoology and animal husbandry and veterinary work, inhabitants in the provinces who are raising Phungsan and others.
Presented to it were Phungsan dogs selected from the shows of provinces (municipalities directly under the central authority).
The rankings were decided according to the results of examinations of dog's appearance and forte and general examination.
Ryanggang and North Hwanghae provinces, Pyongyang Municipality and South Hamgyong and South Hwanghae provinces were highly appreciated at the show.
During the show, there was a technical workshop concerning the issues on the standard characteristics of Phungsan dog and preservation of its pure breed.
Diplomas and prizes were awarded to those who were highly appreciated.
