A research group of Kim Chaek University of Technology and a technical force of the Kim Chaek Rock Drill Factory developed an energy-saving pneumatic rock drill. The newly developed drill is more efficient and higher than the existing drills of same type in performance.
The Electric Power Engineering Institute under the Electrical Engineering Faculty of Kim Chaek University of Technology developed an automatic power factor controller capable of ensuring the power factor of load at over 95 percent.
