Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The Phyongchon Revolutionary Site in Pyongyang draws an endless stream of visitors. The site is associated with the exploits performed by the peerlessly great persons of the DPRK for developing the Juche-based defence industry.
The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the remodeled revolutionary site in December 2015. Since then, more than 890 000 working people, service personnel, youngsters and students from at least 9 000 units have visited the site for the past nine years.
The visitors were briefed on the history of the site in front of a mosaic depicting President Kim Il Sung , Chairman Kim Jong Il and anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk expressing satisfaction with the performance of a home-made submachine gun after personally testing it on June 16, 1949.
At the revolutionary museum, they looked around the historical mementos dealing with the exploits of the peerlessly great persons for the development of the Juche-based defence industry, including photos of the President and his work "We Must Build Our Own Ordnance Industry".
They learned about the fighting spirit of the working class of the preceding generations, who pioneered the cause of building the domestic defence industry, in different parts of the site.
They were told about the fact that the respected General Secretary, during his visit to the site 9 years ago, gave important instructions that the site should fulfil its mission as an ideological education base.
They also looked at the photos showing the ever-developing Korean-style defence industry. -0-
