WPK Central Committee Sends Congratulatory Message to Ponghak Foodstuff Factory

Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held on the spot on December 10 to convey a congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea to the employees and officials of the Ponghak Foodstuff Factory on the occasion of its 50th founding anniversary. Present there were Jon Hyon Chol, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Jang Song Ho, secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials and employees of the factory. Jon Hyon Chol conveyed a congratulatory message of the WPK Central Committee to the employees and officials of the factory. In the congratulatory message the WPK Central Committee said that the half-century-long history of the factory founded after President Kim Il Sung chose its site is associated with the sincere efforts of the workers of the factory who have devoted their wisdom and passion to producing diverse drinks favored by the citizens. The message said that the factory has doubled its production capacity of beer and drastically increased the total industrial output value in a few years. And this serves as a living example that the factory has risen to a new development stage by making effective use of the existing potentials while holding fast to the maintenance and reinforcement strategy set forth by the Eighth WPK Congress, it noted. The WPK Central Committee in the message highly appreciated the vigorous labor efforts and the fruits of creation by the workers and officials of the factory, who are achieving ideological and spiritual upswing, economic and technical growth and cultural development by uniting with loyalty and patriotism and are bringing about corresponding changes in the new era of overall state development. A resolution was adopted at the meeting after speeches.
