Thanks to Our Benevolent Country

Not long ago, we received a letter telling that Kim Chung Song, an employee of the Sungho Chicken Breed Farm who had been unable to walk due to a disease, stood back on his feet again thanks to the warm sincerity and care of his associates.

Even his parents didn’t know what to do with their son’s disease.

At that time, the officials and employees of the breed farm visited him.

They learnt about the treatment and his condition and encouraged him not to give up, saying that there is no incurable disease to him as he had the Party organization and the socialist public health system of our Party.

They took measures necessary for the treatment one by one.

Since then, they devoted their all to the treatment of his disease.

Doctors and nurses of the hospital, too, took the best care of him.

His parents said that they personally witnessed what they had often seen on TV and newspapers and that they keenly realized that the whole country is one large family.

Kim expressed his excitement in the letter as follows:

"Thanks to our benevolent country, I, neither a labor innovator nor a meritorious person, could stand back on my feet again under the care of many comrades. Indeed, our socialist country is a great harmonious family."

On Day of Fulfilling Monthly Production Plan

The following happened on November 28 when the 3rd Pit of the Ryongsan Coal Mine over-fulfilled the production plan for November.

There took place a meeting of junior officials of the pit. The only agenda of the meeting was on completing this year’s coal production plan without fail.

The participants presented various rational methods, saying that if they give fuller play to the collectivist spirit prevailing in their pit, they can fulfill the yearly production plan with ease.

In November the officials and coal miners of the pit over-fulfilled their production plan while performing good deeds for the collective and pooling their sincerity.

Among them are coal miners of the 1st mining company who helped other shift members; employees of the mess hall who provided rich repast to coal miners; compressor operator who voluntarily purchased materials for repair of compressor; officials who provided the employees with souvenirs on Mother’s Day.

Therefore, that day, too, the officials of the pit felt confident, looking at those trustworthy people.

Story of Good Deeds Known after Several Months

Some days ago, officials of the farm machine station in Jangphung County learned about good deeds performed by Pak Pong Chol and Kim Chang Ryong, members of the same work-team, from Paek Myong Gi, a worker of the farm machine work-team.

It happened a few months ago.

At that time Pak Pong Chol and Kim Chang Ryong entered Paek’s house with materials needed for the repair of the house.

They said to Paek, looking at them with astonishment, that they were sorry for being late and called on him to repair his house well by concerted efforts.

The moment Paek felt a lump in his throat, because he was so thankful for their sincerity.

After that, they, who came to know the fact that Paek was going to inform the officials of their deeds, suggested him keeping mum about it saying that it was natural to help and lead each other forward.

It was known later, but through such a fact, the officials of the station could feel once again the collectivist spirit prevailing in the station.
