The Hamhung School Shoes Factory was built and inaugurated in South Hamgyong Province, laying material and technological foundations for producing and supplying diverse shoes to the students in the province.
Its inaugural ceremony was attended by Wi Chol Su, Secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, and officials and employees of the factory. An inaugural address was made by Jang Sung Sop, Vice-Chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee.
