Pyongyang, January 11 (KCNA) -- Officials of ministries and national agencies in the DPRK did the first Friday labor for the new year at farms in the capital city of Pyongyang on January 10.
They went to the Kumchon Vegetable Farm in Mangyongdae District, the Jangchon Vegetable Farm in Sadong District and the agricultural production shop of the Central Zoo with quality manure and lots of farming materials.
Officials of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Secretariat of the Cabinet, the State Planning Commission, the Ministry of Urban Management and other units handed over small farm implements to the Kumchon Vegetable Farm and manured fields.
Officials of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Light Industry, the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea and other units informed the agricultural workers at the Jangchon Vegetable Farm of the idea and spirit of the plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee and helped them in their work.
Those of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, the Agricultural Publishing House, the Central Bank, the Bureau for Affairs with Diplomatic Corps and other units did Friday labor at the agricultural production shop of the Central Zoo.
Encouraged by such sincere support, the agricultural workers are putting spurs to the preparations for farming. -0-
