Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of the Ryanggang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau in the DPRK have made innovations in the production of timber this year.
Workers of the Paekam Mine Timber Production Station concentrate equipment and materials on topographical conditions of the felling areas of high altitude and introduce advanced work methods to increase the amount of felling per unit time.
The Rohung Timber Felling Station and the Suun Timber Felling Station of the Phungso Forestry Station have made effective use of rational logging methods to raise the timber production as compared with the same period of last year.
The Yuphyong Forestry Station built tens of kilometers of new production roads in keeping with the topographical condition of mountains and to ensure timely transport of timbers.
The Yonam Mine Timber Production Station has taken technical measures to ensure the full operation of timber locomotives in a far-sighted way, thus carrying more timbers than planned.
The Kapsan Forestry Station is also directing big efforts to increasing the production of timbers to be sent to different sectors of the national economy. -0-
