Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- The field of education in the DPRK is elaborating on the operation for improving education for this yea, true to the idea and spirit of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Officials of the Ministry of Education and relevant units have proposed measures for improving the educational work and discussed the issues.
The universities at all levels have taken practical measures to implement the new education programme and train students as competent talents.
The provincial industrial, agricultural and vocational technical colleges are discussing ways to put the educational contents of relevant fields into a more detailed, diverse and practical basis in conformity with the characteristics of their regions and thus contribute to realizing the Regional Development 20×10 Policy of the WPK.
They are also discussing practical issues arising in disseminating reference books, multimedia programs, data related to latest education and excellent videos for lectures applying research-type teaching and studying methods to educational units at all levels through network for the education field and developing and operating the state educational information system.
There are also plans to train experts in different fields.
Proposals for providing conditions and environment favorable for the implementation of education programme and education of students including giving a facelift to all schools across the country in ten years are being made. -0-
