The international community is highlighting the present situation of the Republic of Korea in political confusion, urgently reporting the news that puppet Yoon Suk Yeol was arrested and taken to an investigation organ as the incumbent president for the first time in history.
Reuters, Bloomberg, Kyodo, Xinhua and other major news agencies and CNN, Washington Post, New York Times, BBC, Asahi Shimbun and other major newspapers and broadcasters of the world gave wide publicity to Yoon's arrest under different titles including "Incumbent President Arrested for the First Time in the History of the Republic of Korea" and "Unprecedented Event in Constitutional History". They reported that Yoon Suk Yeol, who caused a great socio-political confusion by declaring an emergency martial law in the Republic of Korea, was taken for investigation on the 15th on charge of attempted rebellion.
Foreign media said the president of the Republic of Korea was walked off for investigation into his attempted rebellion 43 days after the proclamation of the emergency martial law and over 30 days after the passage of the impeachment motion in the National Assembly, and commented on the miserable fate of Yoon Suk Yeol and the state of confusion in that country to be worsened.
Saying that Yoon Suk Yeol might be sentenced to death at the worst, they stated that the politics of the Republic of Korea was further confused after the impeachment and arrest of the president, the crisis has not ended though the president was arrested and the political chaos of the Republic of Korea would probably be prolonged in the future.
It is said that even after he was walked off for investigation, Yoon Suk Yeol justifies his crimes with the absurd logic that the opposition parties "encouraged the division of public opinion with unconstitutional law" and he "proclaimed the martial law, the legitimate authority of the president," to prevent it.
Noting that Yoon Suk Yeol refuses to confess his crimes and takes consistent and defiant attitude with taciturnity, the foreign media said Yoon sacrifices the state order for his individual interests and does not follow the legal procedures and since he resists talking about "illegal investigation", the political confusion in the Republic of Korea would be worsened in the future.
