Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- Fishing sector of the DPRK pushes ahead with the work to consolidate the material and technical foundations on a full-scale.
Fishery stations under the South Phyongan Provincial Fishery Management Bureau have secured materials and accessories needed for repairing fishing boats and fishing tackles and ensured the full operation of repair equipment, encouraging technicians and skilled workers to carry out the tasks of repairing fishing boats according to the schedule.
Those under the North Phyongan Provincial Fishery Management Bureau are stepping up the work to consolidate the material and technical foundations of ship repair bases while shortening the time of repairing fishing boats and fishing tackles.
The Nampho Fishery Station is solving in time the technical problems arising in repairing fishing boats.
Besides, the Ministry of Fisheries is carrying on the construction of modern fish farming bases and the expansion of area of aquaculture. -0-
