An inauguration ceremony of regional-industry factories took place in Kujang County on January 24.

Kim Chol Sam, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, delivered an inaugural address.

Saying that precious entities of regional changes that will bring a rich life to the county people were built in less than a year, he noted that this wonderful change of today is a historic miracle that can be created only by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who cherishes the devoted service for the people as the whole of his life.

He said that all the Korean people have embraced as their absolute creed the truth that their present happiness and rosy future are guaranteed as they are led by the respected General Secretary, who continues the sacred journey for the people in order to provide the regional people with a new life with nothing to envy in the world, regarding all hardships as a pleasure.

He referred to the need for the officials of Party and power organs and officials and employees of regional-industry factories in the county to operate the newly-built bases for improving the people's living standards on a regular basis, reenergize tourism at scenic spots and put the regional economy on a solid basis for development by making effective use of natural resources of the county so that the validity of the Party's policies and genuine love for their native places are deeply instilled in the life of the people.

He ardently called upon all the people to work hard with confidence and courage to bring earlier the civilized and prosperous future, upholding the historic cause of regional development of the Workers' Party of Korea with ardent patriotism and redoubled efforts.

In March last year when the groundbreaking ceremony was held in this place, it was a vast expanse of land, but today stylish factories unprecedented in the county sprang up and the people of Kujang have come to enjoy the benefits of regional industry before anyone else, he said, noting that the regional development policy of the Party is, indeed, an ambitious revolutionary programme bringing about epochal changes and a grand action programme for the development of the regional economy to be specially recorded in the history of the DPRK.

He extended the warmest thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is ushering in a new era of regional development to realize the centuries-old desire of the people on this land, reflecting the unanimous desire of all the people in the county and the service personnel of the Korean People's Army who are mobilized for construction.

He expressed his resolve to make the Party's regional development policy substantially benefit the people by directing primary efforts to improving the quality of products at regional-industry factories to produce popular products favoured by the inhabitants of the county and famous goods peculiar to the county to meet the demand for them and by paying close attention to ensuring the supply of raw materials and training of skilled workers so that the county would take the lead in the drive for developing the regional economy and improving the people's living standards.

The managers of the regional-industry factories cut the inauguration tape amid the enthusiastic applause and cheers of excitement.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the newly-built regional-industry factories.

An art performance to celebrate the inauguration of regional-industry factories was followed by a cheerful dance party.

That evening, there was a magnificent fireworks display, instilling confidence in the bright prospects of Kujang County into the county people.
