The role of the group for promoting scientific farming was enhanced in all parts of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to powerfully support the increased grain production by dint of science and technology and thus proud achievements were made.
Last year, the group powerfully promoted the work to solve the sci-tech problems arising in boosting the agricultural production in a sustainable way, making an active contribution to carrying out the grain production plan.
It applied a technology to the paddy rice fields in the flooded regions, making it possible to bring forth yield on the paddy fields whose harvest had not been expected. It also introduced a double cropping method and innovated cultivation methods to increase the productivity.
The group preferentially solved the issue of sugar necessary in the cities and counties with the regional-industry factories under construction. In this way it promoted the work to boost farming for the city and county raw materials bases across the country.
Thanks to its positive role, good sci-tech guarantees are provided for sustainable growth and prospective development of agriculture.
