The embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea gave a reception for the New Year 2025 on the 25th.
Invited to the reception were Kang Yun Sok, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Won Kyong Ho, Deputy Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Myong Ho, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, officials concerned, and diplomatic representatives and staff members of missions of different countries in the DPRK.
Present there were Ambassador Wang Yajin and other staff members of the Chinese embassy and Chinese residents here.
Speeches were made at the reception.
Ambassador Wang Yajin said there is no change in the stand of the Chinese party and government to wonderfully defend, consolidate and develop the traditional relations of friendship between China and the DPRK no matter how the situation may be and stressed that China is willing to intensify strategic communication and strengthen cooperation with the important common understanding made by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries as a guideline and thus make a contribution to welfare of the peoples and peace and security of the region and the world together with the DPRK side.
He expressed the belief that the Korean people would surely attain the goals of struggle set at the Eighth Congress of the WPK and the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee and thus greet the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK and the Ninth Party Congress with wonderful achievements in building a powerful socialist country.
Kang Yun Sok said the peoples of the two countries are waging a vigorous struggle to defend socialism under the leadership of the summits of the two countries even in the complicated international situation and emphasized that it is our consistent stand to constantly strengthen and develop the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and China.
He hoped that the Chinese people would make a success in their work this year, the last year of carrying out the 14th five-year plan under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
Chinese artistes gave a performance at the reception.
