Residents of the city of Kusong in North Phyongan Province have celebrated the inauguration of regional-industry factories in jubilation.
An inauguration ceremony of the regional-industry factories in the city took place on the spot on January 30.
Present there were officials and working people in North Phyongan Province and Kusong City, soldier-builders and employees of the factories.
Kim Chol Sam, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, addressed the ceremony.
He said that the regional-industry factories, successfully built as precious edifices to add increased vigour to the people's living in the city and firmly support the regional economic development, are a clear demonstration of the steadfast will of the Party Central Committee to realize the cherished desire of the regional people to enjoy a rich life as good as in town in our generation.
He stressed that the energetic leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who clearly indicated the tasks and ways for building regional-industry factories into monumental edifices in the era of the Workers' Party and the people's factories substantially contributing to the improvement of their living standards, as he convened important meetings of the Party and the state one after another to implement the regional development policy and visited construction sites in succession, served as a driving force that enabled them to successfully complete the huge construction projects in less than one year.
He ardently called upon all officials to make redoubled efforts to bring earlier the future of a rich, civilized and prosperous powerful country, bearing in mind that when they dynamically implement the Party's policy on developing the regional industry, they will be able to ensure the stable and sustained development of the national economy and steadily improve the people's living standards.
Kim Chol Ryong, chief secretary of the Kusong City Committee of the WPK, made a speech.
He firmly pledged to uphold through bold practical struggle the plan and intention of the WPK to substantially raise the living standards of the people across the country a level higher and further accelerate the comprehensive development of socialism through the intensified regional-industry revolution.
The managers of the factories cut the tape for inauguration.
After the ceremony, the participants went round the factories.
An art performance was given to add more to the emotion and joy of the people greeting the significant day.
That evening fireworks were displayed to celebrate the inauguration of the factories.
