Always Like in Days of Military Service

"He is an indispensable man for collective." – it is a unanimous appraisal made by the masses of Kang Chol, a worker of the Moranbong District Construction Brigade.

Kang, who returned home after his military service a few years ago, came to receive the news that the young people have glorified their youthful days by bravely volunteering to work at challenging and difficult posts of socialist construction after the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Hardly repressing his impulse, Kang volunteered for the district construction brigade to take part in various projects including the construction of the first-stage 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area, thus demonstrating honor of innovator in those days.

When the brigade conducted the greening work in an area, he carried out his duties in a responsible and qualitative way despite his sick body.

Workmates admired at his working saying that he works well as befits the discharged soldier.

After that he was honored of being a member of the Workers’ Party of Korea under the trust of the Party organization and collective. Since then he has made strenuous efforts with a single mind of repay.

When people ask him what makes him so strong and enthusiastic, he says: Nothing is impossible if one has a firm determination to uphold the Party’s far-reaching plan in the van as one did in the days of military service.

With such pure patriotic spirit, he is now devoting his all to the work of creation.

Platoon of Innovators, Pride of Shock Brigade

The 2nd brigade under the August 28 Youth Shock Brigade has the platoon which is composed of volunteers who participated, several years ago, in Youth Day celebrations and had a photo taken with the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Keeping in mind the pride and honor of that day, they have overfulfilled their yearly production plans.

As a matter of fact, they would experience hardships in those days.

However, they encouraged themselves looking back upon the honorable day which would be remembered to the end of their life.

Now, they, as their first daily work, clean the area of mosaics depicting the peerlessly great men and have the reading sessions on congratulatory letter sent by the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, to the reliable young people who volunteered to work in difficult and challenging sectors of socialist construction several years ago.

Last year, they carried out their yearly tunneling plan ahead of schedule, and this year, too, they set a high goal of tunneling.

Though they were very busy with their tunneling plan, they gave the tools they prepared for themselves to other units and led them to perform miracles and innovations.

They devote their efforts to increased production of coal displaying the honor of volunteers’ collective and innovators’ platoon, the pride of the shock brigade.
