The expedition of the 1,000-ri Journey for National Liberation by schoolchildren from across the country arrived in Phophyong on the 3rd.
Officials, working people and schoolchildren in Kim Hyong Jik County welcomed the marchers who were coming with fluttering flag of the expedition to the significant place where the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung crossed the Amnok River with a firm resolve not to return before Korea had become independent.
