Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- The grand construction struggle for 2025 to implement the regional development policy in the new era started thanks to the grand intention of the Central Committee of the great Workers' Party of Korea to steadily carry forward the era of great rejuvenation in which 20 cities and counties of different parts of the country are changing every year while making bigger and more correct and responsible strides of advance for epochal changes dynamically revitalizing the whole country to be the ideal of the people suited to the dignity and prestige of a powerful country.

The WPK, which made a breakthrough in accomplishing the historic cause of restoring the local economy on a completely new foundation across the country, confirmed the policy orientation and practical plan in depth to ensure the wider and practical development of regional areas and accelerate the construction of a highly civilized and powerful country. On the basis of this, it unfolded a bright blueprint for building public health facilities, general service center and grain management facilities in parallel with the construction of regional-industry factories.

The WPK is trying to establish not only the modern light industry foundation, but also a development environment in all parts of the local areas under which the progress of science, education and public health are used as a dynamic force to effloresce into advanced civilization, and thus promote faster and more dynamically the development and prosperity of the country and the well-being of the people. Such great ambition of the WPK is magnificently making proud annals of the revolutionary turn to be specially recorded in the history of the DPRK.

A ground-breaking ceremony to build the Kangdong County Hospital and General Service Center for the Regional Development 20×10 Policy whose construction will be powerfully propelled hewing out the new sphere and ground of overall rejuvenation was held with splendor on February 6.

The venue of the ceremony was filled with the militant enthusiasm of soldier-builders to steadily carry forward this year with continuous leaping successes with the same spirit and mettle they displayed in glorifying with precious entities of great change the first year struggle for implementing the great strategic programme for the regional development of the WPK and with the stirring excitement of the working people in Kangdong County who are optimistic about the hopeful future, which will be highly civilized and rich day by day along with the assets of prosperity to be built soon.

When Kim Jong Un arrived at the venue of the ceremony, all the participants raised stormy cheers.

Present at the ceremony were Pak Thae Song, premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, and other senior Party, government and military officials, members of the non-permanent committees at all levels for promoting the Regional Development 20×10 Policy, service personnel of the People's Army involved in the construction, and officials and working people in Pyongyang Municipality and Kangdong County.

Kim Jong Un made a significant speech in commemoration of the ceremony.

Noting that the construction work for the significant year 2025 starts with the ground-breaking of the construction of Kangdong County Hospital and general service center, he expressed his pleasure and deep emotion over the fact that another sincerity of our Party and government will reach the regional people and a remarkable change in the new era will settle in a part of the country.

Referring to the urgency of the improvement of regional people's cultural living environment in fundamentally and ultimately eradicating the distinctions between towns and the countryside, he said it is an ideal result of the regional development policy to make the whole country enjoy the same cultural level.

He said that it is the top priority of the Party and the government to put the public health service on a modern and advanced basis, clarifying the WPK's plan and absolute will to newly develop the public health into a soil that cultivates the might of the country’s life and into strong roots for regional rejuvenation and thus get the year 2025 recorded in the history as the first year of revolution in the public health.

To build modern public health facilities and multi-functional bases for cultural life in cities and counties is a crucial undertaking of high strategic value and an urgent task which brooks no further delay in accelerating the simultaneous and balanced development of all fields and regions and hastening the complete victory of socialism, he said, affirming that the everlasting prosperity of regions precisely means the everlasting prosperity of our state and the prospect of Korean-style socialism.

Today's ground-breaking ceremony is the start of a great course and a decisive stride forward and an important watershed towards the future, he said, ardently calling for more courageously and vigorously advancing for the great ideal of our people and for the victory of our cause.

All the participants broke into cheers of great excitement, looking up to the great father who is bringing a new world of cultural efflorescence under socialism where all the desires and ideals of the people are translated into life and reality and the future appearance of changes that will surely be made through the Korean-style creative struggle.

The commander of the construction regiment made a speech of pledge on behalf of the builders.

Referring to the excitement of soldier-builders to be involved in the construction of essential objects, a meaningful start of substantial and qualitative change in realizing the grand cause of regional transformation, the speaker said that they are filled with confidence as they have consolidated their genuine outlook on the people, indomitable pioneering spirit and powerful strength of creation under the care of the respected Supreme Commander.

He solemnly pledged to successfully build monumental edifices symbolic of the new era of regional development in Kangdong County, where a large-scale sea of greenhouses was opened thanks to the great loving care of the Workers' Party of Korea, as a model for the whole country and thus glorify this year marking the 80th birthday of the WPK with great victory and glory.
