The ALBA-TCT(La Alianza Bolivariana Tara Los Tueblos De Nuestra America-Tratado De Conercio De Los Tueblos) member nations issued a statement on February 2 to reject the false propaganda and intervention of the US.
The statement branded the assertion of the US that the Mexican government joins hands with groups of drug-related criminals as ungrounded, saying that the US is trying hard to disregard its historical responsibility for having caused outrage and drug trafficking crisis in the region while labelling Mexico as a criminal state.
In the US, thousands of people lose their lives every year due to the authorities’ offer of high-performance weapons to criminal organizations, poor public health policies and irresponsibility of pharmaceutical companies, the statement disclosed.
Expressing support to Mexico, which is striving to combat organized crimes and ensure security, it stressed that such acts as unilateral imposition of tariffs contrary to principles of international law are intolerable.
