Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK Saturday say that the founding of the Korean People's Army (KPA) on February 8, 1948 was a world-historic event that declared the birth of the army of idea and faith boundlessly loyal to the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea and the revolutionary armed forces firmly defending the dignity and honor of the DPRK and its people.

Thanks to this historic day, there can be a proud heroic epic of the revolutionary armed forces that have reliably guaranteed the idea and cause of the WPK, existence and development of the DPRK and happiness of its people, regarding loyalty to the Party, government and people as their lifeblood and supreme honor, Rodong Sinmun notes in an editorial, and goes on:

Since the early days of its founding, the KPA has performed distinguished feats in the struggle for the security of the state and the well-being of the people, faithfully fulfilling its mission entrusted by the times and history and safeguarding the most just idea and cause.

It is the immortal patriotic feats performed by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un for the times, revolution, country and people that he has further developed the KPA into the most elite revolutionary army capable of defeating any aggression forces at a single blow, fully displaying its appearance as the army strong in idea and faith boundlessly loyal to the Party's leadership both in name and reality.

The KPA is the revolutionary armed forces boundlessly loyal to the idea and cause of the Party Central Committee.
