Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- The first inauguration ceremony of the regional-industry factories took place in Songchon County, South Phyongan Province in December last year. Following it, inauguration ceremonies of regional-industry factories took place one after another in different parts of the country this year, including Jaeryong County of South Hwanghae Province, Unpha County of North Hwanghae Province and Kyongsong County of North Hamgyong Province to give great pleasure to the people.
Seeing the proud reality welcomed by the whole country, the DPRK people are recollecting the devoted efforts of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who has led the work to create practical experience of the development of regional industry.
One day in October 2020, Kim Jong Un visited the township of Kimhwa County, Kangwon Province under recovery from flood damage and indicated the detailed orientation and ways of turning the county into the people's ideal land and gaining practical experience for the development of regional industry.
Later, he set forth the task for building well-equipped regional-industry factories in Kimhwa County at the Second Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, which confirms the tasks for the first year of the five-year plan.
It took 370-odd days to proclaim the inauguration since the first blasting of groundbreaking was conducted. In those days, Kim Jong Un always paid attention to improving the people's living standard in the county.
Thanks to his wise leadership, practical experience of the development of regional industry was created in Kimhwa County, where living conditions were difficult and economic foundations were poor.
In the county, various kinds of quality consumer goods have been produced in a little more than two years since the modernization of regional-industry factories, and they are supplied to the inhabitants of the county.
Many foodstuffs are produced by using local raw materials.
Kumsongchon-trademark soap is popular among housewives. Building materials made with locally available materials are used for housing construction.
All the cities and counties of the country are now changing their appearances, following Kimhwa County. -0-
