Seed processing bases were built in various cities and counties of South Hamgyong Province.
As a result, the province laid a firm foundation capable of selecting, sorting, coating and processing wheat, maize and other grain and vegetable seeds.
Officials of the province, aware that seed is the main in farming, regarded the seed processing as an important issue for increasing agricultural production and worked out a plan to build seed processing bases in cities and counties.
The province, first of all, built a seed processing base in a farm into a model one and showed it to the relevant units and organized minutely to ensure that they waged the project according to the technical requirements.
And it dispatched officials to the farms in cities and counties to hasten the construction of seed processing bases.
The officials and working people in different parts of the province pushed ahead with the construction of seed processing bases while increasing the proportion of locally available materials.
Now the province is directing efforts to fully ensuring the supply of processed seeds to the relevant units.
