Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- The workers' art group of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea gave a performance "We will realize the fatherly General's desire for a powerful nation" at the Central Hall of Workers on February 13 to celebrate the 83rd birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il .
Among the audience were Min Sung Chol, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak In Chol, chairman of the GFTUK Central Committee, trade union officials and workers and trade union members in Pyongyang.
Amid the ardent yearning and boundless reverence for the peerless patriot and benevolent father of the people, put on the stage were colorful numbers including female solo "Glory of Our Life".
The performers sang the song "A Dear Name" with the unanimous loyalty of the workers and trade union members to hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem forever and the place was seething with the warm atmosphere of praising the great man.
The atmosphere of the performance was revved up by the mixed quartet "My Country, Powerful Mother", male solo and pangchang "We Are Koreans" and other numbers, which added to the high pride of being a citizen of a powerful country guided by the greatest man.
The performance ended with chorus "Dear Father". It well showed the revolutionary will of the workers and trade union members to demonstrate the might of the elder sons of the country and vanguard ranks in the sacred struggle for more courageously ushering in the era of comprehensive national prosperity, true to the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un . -0-
