Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- Officials of the youth league from across the DPRK started a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.
A kick-off meeting took place at the plaza before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in Hyesan City of Ryanggang Province on February 13.
Present there were Kang Sin Chang, secretary of the Ryanggang Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league and members of the study tour group.
The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets at the statues of the great leaders and paid tribute to them.
Pak Myong Jin, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a report to be followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers called upon all the members of the study tour group to always march straight ahead dynamically so as to bring earlier a new era of socialist prosperous and powerful nation on the vigorous strength of loyalty and patriotism under the leadership of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un .
When the order of start was given, the members of the group started their march to Mt Paektu associated with the immortal history of the peerlessly great men, flying the national flag and the youth league flag in the van of the marchers.
Earlier, the youth league officials visited the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo. -0-
