Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- Chairman Kim Jong Il was a genius of creation and construction who laid a solid foundation for the prosperity and development of the country with his rare wisdom and distinguished leadership ability.
The noblest pleasure of man lies in creation. This is his outlook on life and motto. So he regarded it as his life’s pleasure and happiness to ceaselessly create new things for the country and people.
He said that the value of creation can be measured only by a new yardstick, which means the desire and requirement of the Workers’ Party of Korea and people regarding creation as their way of life.
Under his leadership, the DPRK adorned the 1970s and 1980s with creations and miracles, and the monumental edifices of these periods were admired by the world people.
The renaissance in the 20th century which was brought with revolution in literature and the arts, epochal changes in the field of architecture in the era of prosperity of Pyongyang, the 8-kilometer-long West Sea Barrage and the 13th World Festival of Youth and Students which demonstrated the national power and dignity of the DPRK are a fruition of his rare wisdom and energetic leadership.
He discussed with the people the problems arising in the struggle to create new things while making ceaseless journeys of field-guidance, and, in the course, taught them trained them as the most powerful creative beings.
The manufacture and successful launch of satellite by our own efforts and technology, the breaking through of the cutting edge of CNC technology, the completion of the Juche-based iron production system, the great auspicious event by vinalon, the falls of Juche fertilizer and other gigantic and eye-opening advances by leaps and bounds were the historic miracles worked by the high ideal, far-reaching ambition and extraordinary creative ability of the DPRK people under the care of Kim Jong Il .
The undying feats of Kim Jong Il who remarkably strengthened the national power all his life with his ceaseless creation and outstanding leadership for the prosperity of the DPRK and happiness of its people are shining in the history of building a powerful socialist country. -0-
