Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- An inauguration ceremony of the second-stage project for modernizing the Kumsong Tractor Factory took place on February 15. Present at the ceremony were Pak Thae Song, premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, Kim Tok Hun, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Yang Sung Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Ri Jae Nam, chief secretary of the Nampho Municipal Committee of the WPK, officials and employees of the municipality and the factory, officials concerned and officials and soldier-builders who contributed to the remodeling. Pak Thae Song made an inauguration address. The premier said that the successful project for updating the Kumsong Tractor Factory according to the grand strategy for the development of the machine-building industry set forth by the Eighth Congress of the WPK is a radical fruition attained in carrying out the first-stage task assigned by the Party Central Committee to the farm machine industrial sector and a clear progress promising the bright future of the rural rejuvenation which will be further accelerated together with the vigorous development of the Juche industry. He noted that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un unfolded a grand plan for the development of the factory and energetically led its implementation for the present change demonstrating the great vitality of the DPRK's economy and boosting the courage and conviction of the agricultural workers and other people across the country. He called upon the workers, scientists and technicians of the factory to master modern equipment and set higher goals and steadily carry them out to make a qualitative leap forward to the next stage. He called for making positive efforts to bring about a substantial change in the rural mechanization and rejuvenation this year marking the 80th founding anniversary of the glorious WPK and bring earlier the rosy future of a comprehensively developed state. Ri Kye Bong, manager of the factory, in his speech extended the warmest thanks to Kim Jong Un for turning the factory into a model factory of the vehicle-building industry in the new century and a core factory advancing in the vanguard of the comprehensive mechanization of agriculture, reflecting the unanimous desire of all the officials and employees of the factory. He expressed his determination to make the employees take good care of the equipment provided by the Party and normalize the production on a high level and thus demonstrate the honor as the vanguards and frontline soldiers in rural mechanization. At the end of the ceremony, the participants went round various places of the factory.
