Pyongyang, February 18 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of the women's union in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK are devoting themselves to the patriotic work for the prosperity of the country.
The Sinuiju City Committee of the women's union organized an exhibition of medium and small farm implements and sent a large amount of aid materials and tens of thousands of tons of organic manure to farms.
Members of the women's union in Wado-ri of Kwaksan County are launching an active women's union-field movement for increasing the fertility of soil and those in Kusong City are pushing ahead with the work to secure high-yielding castor-oil plant seeds urgently needed for supply raw materials for regional-industry factories and cultivate new land.
The women's union organizations in Kujang County do good things at coal mines, contributing to increasing the coal production.
Women's union members in Mawon-ri of Unsan County put the production, storage and management of wild fruit saplings on a scientific basis at the tree nursery built by their own efforts.
Women's union organizations in Sonchon, Tongchang and Yomju counties, too, have aroused women to the socialist patriotic movement, thus making them fulfill their duty as citizens in the work to increase the wealth of the country and bolster up the national defence capabilities. -0-
