The Democratic People's Republic of Korea instituted the title of Ten Best Teachers and awards it to those educators who made a remarkable contribution to education of the coming generations. A meeting of awarding it has been held every year since 2022.

Two teachers were awarded the title at the Unha Primary School in the city of Sariwon of North Hwanghae Province.

Ri Myong Sun not only developed new teaching methods suited to the ages and psychological peculiarities of pupils to make good results in teaching but also wonderfully trained pupils with motherly character and kindred feelings and thus she was awarded the title of Ten Best Teachers in 2021. Cha Kyong Hui gave good education to pupils according to their nature and aptitude, so that tens of them could present good writings. She also played a pivotal role in making problems for developing the ability of pupils for practical activities and their intellectual faculties and thus she was awarded the same title in 2023. Such title was conferred on 30 educators for three years until 2024 after its institution. After all, it is a great success that two best teachers were produced at the primary school in a regional town. It is unthinkable apart from the passion and devotion of Headmistress Kim Hye Gyong.

Kim Hye Gyong started to work as headmistress in 2018.

When she was a teacher, she made constant efforts to qualify herself perfectly as educator in her conduct and speech as well as educational method. She made exact demands on herself.

Always busy as she was with teaching administration, she ceaselessly studied new teaching methods and wrote books helpful to improving the qualifications of teachers. She has been a model of teachers all the time.

The school regards it as a criterion of teaching to make the pupils fully understand what they learned and induces its teachers to evoke the pupils' desire and enterprising will for learning.

During lessons all teachers present problems related to surrounding life and purposefully lead the pupils to see and analyze things and phenomena by combining them with what they learned. Especially, they direct efforts to developing the intellectual faculties of pupils such as observation, memory and analysis and increasing their ability for practical activities.

School contests are organized in the way of presenting more problems for deciding the ability of pupils for practical activities and their intellectual faculties combined with contents of textbooks. It helps the pupils have a theoretical understanding of all contents they study, free from rote learning method.

Her exact demands brought about remarkable changes in the improvement of the qualifications of teachers and the ability of pupils, thus enabling two teachers to be awarded the title of Ten Best Teachers.

Many people admire her extraordinary enthusiasm. But Headmistress Kim Hye Gyong says she still has more things to do to discharge her duty as a teacher.
