Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- Education units at all levels in the DPRK are making preparations for teaching in the new school year.
The higher education sector strives to improve the educational contents and methods.
Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry is making good preparations for syllabi of lectures, teaching programme and electronic visual aids in conformity with the pedagogical principles. It is also conducting the work to ensure the effectiveness of teaching by exploring and introducing teaching data and materials and methods suited to its characteristics.
Kim Hyong Jik University of Education and Sinuiju Teacher Training College have completed teaching programmes in the direction of fully displaying the advantage of a new teaching administration system, applied the research-type teaching and studying methods to the subjects and supplemented the educational contents with latest sci-tech achievements.
Preparations for teaching for the new school year are being made at general education units in Pyongyang, too.
Officials and teachers of Songyo Senior Middle School in Songyo District affiliated to Kim Hyong Jik University of Education are directing efforts to introducing useful and superior teaching materials and visual aids into teaching practice.
Hasin Primary School in Sosong District has conducted demonstration lessons, symposium on teaching methods and discussion on teaching to improve the qualifications of teachers. It also pushes ahead with the work to build the classroom for experience and furnish the teaching materials necessary for combining theoretical education with practical education. -0-
