One day in September 2020, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Kangbuk-ri seat in Kumchon County, which had undergone a faceliftafter removing the aftermaths of natural disaster.
Looking at the fairyland village built like an earthly paradise inthe area which had been hit by heavy rain and wind a fewmonths ago, Kim Jong Un said with abroad smile on his face that it was built as befits a rural village we had idealized.
Theofficials were greatly moved to see him, who was sopleased to becomeable to provide the people in Kangbuk-ri, which had been hit by anunexpected disaster, with the wonderful fairyland village that he said that the village looks like a picture and an art work and that houses and public buildings were wonderfullybuilt in terms of architectural beauty.
Lookingat theofficials, he said that the construction of socialistcountryside should be held fast to as an important national policy, and thatthe immediate, annual and long-term plans should be worked out in a feasibleway for the fulfilment of the programme forthe rural revolution in the neweraand thatefforts should be concentrated on the struggle to implement them.
Theprogramme for the rural revolution in the new era he declared deeply movedand highly delighted the officials.
And he stressed that the materialand technical foundations of ruraleconomy should be strengthened and the cultural developmentpeculiar to the countryside shouldbeaccelerated to continuously spruce up the socialist countryside. Inthis way we can reduce thegapbetween citiesand the countryside tothe utmost,he noted.
Indeed, it was a brilliant blueprint for theconstruction of the socialist countryside.
TheFourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party ofKorea which was convened in December 2021 putforward the programme for the rural revolution in the new eraand a new history of radical change was made onthis land, where ruralcommunities across the country undergo a radical change as required bythe great immortal guidelines.
