The medical workers at the Rehabilitation Department of the Okryu Children’s Hospital are dedicating themselves to bringing merry laughter to children.
With all its treatment rooms, including rooms for electrotherapy, massage and phototherapy, laid out in such a way as to meet the psychology and taste of children, the department conducts the rehabilitation treatment of patients with central and peripheral paralysis.
Its doctors and assistant doctors provide the patients with comprehensive treatment including kinesitherapy, speech therapy and physiotherapy.
Shortly ago, department chief Hwang Mi Ok, doctor Ri Ryu Gyong and assistant doctor Kim Song I rehabilitated Kim Won Ju, a 9-year-old boy who was hospitalized for cervical lymphatic gland abscess. They applied various treatment methods such as medium frequency liquid medicine-based treatment while keeping the patient under constant observation.
Thanks to the sincerity and high medical skills of the medical workers, the child took a turn for the better earlier than expected to the delight of his parents.
The department is also conducting consultation and rehabilitation of outpatients.
They always treat patients with parental affection. They installed different exercise apparatuses designed by them to help children to receive treatment in favourable environment. They also dedicate themselves to the treatment of those with disabilities.
Thanks to their efforts, an increasing number of children regain health and leave the hospital ahead of schedule.
