Han Un Gyong, doctor at the Koryo Internal Medicine Department of the Taedonggang District Hospital, is an authority on acupuncture.
By applying acupuncture therapy, she has treated digestive, gynaecologic and other diseases as well as slipped disc which had not been cured with a combination of tractoration and physiotherapy.
Over the past two decades since she was appointed to the present department after graduating from Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences, she has studied the scope of treatment according to the diagnosis by channels and demonstrations and relevant acupoints and methods of applying the therapy, in the course of which she has accumulated experience.
By injecting efficacious liquid medicine to appropriate acupoints, she has cured patients with neuralgia or slipped disc, who had been unable to walk for a long time.
In addition, she has successfully cured chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, chronic enterocolitis and other digestive diseases by a combination of acupuncture and manual therapy.
Those who were once reluctant to have acupuncture treatment admire her high skill after they have received her treatment once or twice.
Her treatment experience has been introduced by a local medical journal several times.
