Session of 14th National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference held

The Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference took place in Beijing from March 4 to 10.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, leading officials of the Communist Party of China and the state and delegates attended the meeting.
Wang Huning, chairman of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC, made a report on work.
He said in the report that last year the National Committee of the CPPCC and its Standing Committee maintained the organic combination of the party’s leadership, united front and democratic negotiations and fulfilled their duties and responsibilities, thus making fresh progress in all fields.
He stressed the need for the People’s Political Consultative Conference to pool wisdom and efforts of Chinese at home and abroad to contribute to attaining the goals in 2025, the last year for the implementation of the 14th five-year plan, and laying a firm foundation for making a good start of the 15th five-year plan.
The meeting adopted a decision of the Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC on the report on the work of the Standing Committee, a political decision of the Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC and other documents.
During the meeting, there were plenary meetings and group discussions.
Relevant senior officials of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China and the State Council of China attended the opening and closing meetings as observers.
